In 2015 we were awarded the very prestigious Cheshire FA Community Club of the Year award. We pride ourselves on being recognised as one of the most respected clubs on the Wirral. We are affiliated to Cheshire Football Association and mainly play our football in the Wallasey Junior League and the Wallasey and District Youth League though also play in the Eastham Junior League and Cheshire Girls Football League.
We are founded on a basis of discipline and the provision of football in a safe and sound environment. We ask for good behaviour and regular attendance, in return we provide quality ‘soccer with a smile’ along with many varied and enjoyable activities. Our staff of club officials, managers and coaches are all volunteers willing to give their time to enable us to fulfil our mission statement of “encouraging the development of football for all within the local community”. Staff endeavour to reflect this mission statement and the aims of the club in all of their work within Upton FC. Staff value the competitive nature of football whilst striving to ensure that the boys and girls at the club enjoy their involvement in football.
All staff have been appointed after going through a process of application, the provision of sound references, being CRB checked through the FA approved system and interviewed by the Club Committee. All Staff members abide by the FA Child Protection Policies and Procedures, the FA Code of Conduct and the Equal Opportunities and Anti-discrimination Policy. It is our aim to have every team coach achieve at least FA Level One qualified.
As well as developing good footballing skills and techniques we believe that, for anyone taking part, many life skills can also be learnt and nurtured through involvement within football at Upton Football Club.
Underlying all of our work at Upton Football Club is our mission statement of: “Encouraging the development of football for all within the local community”
