Girls Under 10 Win
Upton FC are very proud of our Girls Under 10 Team. Congratulations go to the team, manager Kelly Jones and all supporters who have all contributed to a great season. The team won a Cheshire FA invitational tournament and finished a magnificient second in the league.
Annual Presentation Day
This year’s Annual Presentation Day will be held at Heswall Royal British Legion, Pensby Road, Heswall on Saturday 7th June 2008.
The presentations will be split into the following groups:
- 12 noon to 2pm – Under 6, Under 7, Under 8, Under 9
- 3pm to 5pm – Under 10, Under 11, Under 12
- 7.30pm to 11.00pm – Under 13, Under 14, Under 15, Under 16, Youth and Adult teams
Guests of Honour will present awards for every player. Soccer Star Certificates, Club Awards and Team awards will also be presented. Admission is by ticket only due to the success of last year’s event and Health and Safety restrictions on numbers. Tickets are £3.00 each for Adults – all children free. The event is not suitable for really young children. Tickets must be purchased from any staff member before the event. A disco and buffet will be included in the evening session – tickets purchased will be valid for all sessions if people want to return for the evening session disco.
A bus will leave the Eagle and Crown at 7.00 pm and return after the event to the Eagle and Crown – return fare £5.00 adults, all children free. Tickets from any member of staff.

Club AGM
Notice is given of the club’s Annual General Meeting. The meeting will be held on 23rd June 2008 at the Eagle & Crown. The meeting will start promptly at 7.30pm.
Hollyoaks Charity Football Match
Looking forward, Upton Football Club will face a celebrity team from the cast of Hollyoaks. The expected game is being planned for September 2009.

Management Meeting
The next management meeting for Upton FC will be held on 27th May 2008. The meeting will be held at the Eagle & Crown and starts promptly at 7.30pm.
Club Fun Day
This summer’s club fun day for players, supporters and team officials will take place on 1st June 2008.
Holland Trip
This year’s international trip for the junior teams will be to Holland. Dates are confirmed as 23rd May to 26th May 2008.
The parents meeting for this trip at Birkenhead Park Cricket Club ( in the park behind Park High School ) at 7.00pm on Tuesday 13th May. Parents should bring with them the address and telephone number of their GPs as they will be required to complete a new medical questionnaire for the trip.
The meeting is scheduled for just 30 mins but there will be ample opportunity to ask questions and meet the staff travelling with the players.
This year’s Holland trip was very successful. All attendees returned safe and well, although a little tired!
Mini Soccer Day Out at Chester Zoo
There will be a trip to Chester Zoo on 18th May 2008 for the mini soccer teams. Please contact your individual team manager for full details.
The mini soccer trip to chester zoo was very successful and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Unfortunately it was poorly attended, possibly due to the short notice given. The club recognises this and will endeavour to give more notice in future.
