Under 10′s Penalty Agony
Upton Under 10′s today produced a fantastic effort in the Challenge Cup Final against Peninsula Stars. The first 10 minutes of the game did not start well as Upton found themselves 2-0 down but they fought back brilliantly to level the game at 2-2. There were chances at both ends as the tension grew but the match finished 2-2 at full time. A further period of extra time was played and some frantic goal mouth scrambles ensued but no more goals were scored and penalties it was. All the lads deserve great credit for stepping forward in terrible windy conditions and both teams had chances to win the shoot out before finally Peninsula emerged with the victory. It was a great effort by the Upton lads and everyone was very proud of you today.
New Players Required
Upton Under 10′s are looking for players to join the squad for their first season of 11 a side football as Under 11′s starting in September 2011. Any boys currently in school year 5 starting school year 6 in Sept 2011 are welcome to try out for the team.
