The Under 9’s had a free week

The Under 10’s had another close game going down 3-1 to Peninsula Stars with Joe Farrell grabbing the goal and Man of Match

Under 10s –  came very close this week, hitting the post and losing out narrowly 1 – 0 to New Brighton Saints. Player of the match was Erin Mooney.

Under 12 Rangers –  no game this week

Under 12s –  against Wirral Rangers, it was just one of those days, with chances cleared off the line, hitting the woodwork, but just not going in. The game ended 1 – 1. Olivia Radford scored, and Jess Farrrell was player of the match

Under 14s –  travelled to Waverton, who only had the bare 7 players available. As with last week, Upton were the far more experienced side, but Waverton showed great strength of character to keep their heads up when the goals started to go in. Scorers in an 11 – 0 win were Jodie Williams (5), who was also player of the match; Isabel Nolan (2); Brittany White; Poppy Buckley; Sarah Buckley; and with probably the goal of the game, Katie Murray – an excellent volley from an Isabel Nolan corner

Under 16s – were away to Wallasey Wanderers again, and lost 5 – 3. Scorers were Abbie Bateman; Lucy McKeown; and Louise O’Brien, with Jess Taylor the player of the match

The Under 11’s continued their 100% start to make it 6 from 6 with an entertaining  6-4 win over Manor with goals from Ben Mcallister, Leon Cooney, Brendan Doherty 2, Liam Mcevoy & Neal Stanley with Joe Mcolgan Man of Match

The Under 12’s had no game

The Under 13’s went down 6-0 to Wirral Scorpions in a bad day at the office with Alex Highton Man of Match..

The Under 14’s & Under 15’s clashed in the first derby match of the season and both sides had reasons to be happy as the 15’s maintained their 100% start to the season with a 6-1 victory and the 14’s gave a really good account of themselves against an older team. The 14’s goal was scored by Tyler Smith with Ryan Fleming Man of Match and the 15’s goals were scored by Mitchell Duggan 2, Callum Mernock, Scott Billington, George Thomson & Matty Doogan with Tyler Brace Man of Match.

The Under 16’s were 3-0 at half time before losing out 3-2 to Glenavon with goals from Cameron Hurley and Man of Match Liam Walsh.
