The bad weather on Sunday put paid to a few matches but another good week for the girls and a few dissappointing results for the boys.

Mini Soccer

The Under 7’s went down 0-4 to New Brighton Saints Rovers with Mathew Cubbin named Man of Match.

Under 9’s No Details Yet

Under 10’s had a great win in the 2nd round of the Knockout Cup beating Shafts Pumas 3-0 with goals from Tom Harrop and Jamie Kavanagh 2 which earned him the Man of Match.

Girls

Unders 10s continued great start with a 1-0 win at Irby. Anna Cull scored the only goal and was player of the match.  Tougher challenge next week against Rakers but the girls are in good form and ready for it.
Under 12s came from 2 – 0 down to overcome a battling  Waverton 6 – 4. Emma Johnson (3), Alex Collins, Jasmine Pugh scored, as well as a fine free kick from Elizabeth Sullivan,who was player of the match.
 
Under 14 Rangers found the huge goals and spaces of the Delph tough as they lost 6 – 4 to Birkenhead Youth. Isabel Nolan (2), Jodie Williams and Poppy Buckley scored.  Sarah Buckley was player of the match for the second week running for her performance in goal
 
Under 14s had only their second start, and having been 2 – 1 up., then 5 – 2 down, put in a stronger second half performance to lead 7 – 6 until a last minute equaliser for Waverton (7 – 7). Vicky Deegan (2), Aira Temporal (2), Ellen Harding, Georgia McGeough and Emily Sullivan scored. Emily completed a family double with Elizabeth (under 12s) in being named player of the match.  
 
Under 16s pulled off their third win in a row, this time against Greenleas by 6 – 4.  Louise O’Brien scored 4 and was player of the match, whilst Abbie Bateman scored the other two 

Boys

The Under 11’s unfortunately lost their first game of the season 2-6 to Spartans (Details to Follow)

The Under 12’s & Under 13’s fell victims to the bad weather with both games postponed.

The Under 15’s had a long journey and an early start to face Sale in the Cheshire Cup were they went down 2-3 in a closely fought game.

The Youth & Open Age games were also cancelled due to the weather.
