Mini Soccer


The Under 7’s failed to score for the first time as they went down 3-0 to Greenleas


The Under 8’s had a great win beating Beechwood 3-1 with 2 goals from James Redmond and 1 from Lee Keogh.


The Under 9’s lost 4-1 to Glenavon Hawks


The Under 10’s went down 6-0 to Birkenhead YC with Matty Cubbin man of match





Under 12 Rangers earned another point with a 1 – 1 draw against Oxton Girls. Mia Donaldson scored, and Tessie Nickson was player of the match
Under 12s only had 6 players against unbeaten New Ferry Rangers, and despite putting in a great effort, ended up losing 8 – 0. Natasha Kurthausen was player of the match.
Under 14s  have had an excellent start to the season and took their 100% record to Manor Torpedoes. Upton were two up early on through two Olivia Radford strikes, but Manor drew level by half time, and went on to win 4 – 2. There are now three teams on 9 points after 4 games, and this looks the closest division in the league. Anna Pippard was player of the match.
Under 16s travelled to Irby without captain Jodie Williams, and came out 3 – 1 winners despite not playing as well as they can. Leah McNay and Isabel Nolan scored in the first half before Irby pulled one back early in the second half with a speculative strike from distance. After weathering a bit of pressure from the home team, Katie Murray scrambled home a third to keep Upton’s 100% start to the season. Leah McNay was player of the match




The Under 11’s drew 3-3 with Prenton Town at the Delph.  Man of the Match was Tom Carrington who scored two goals with Alex Clarke netting the third.


The Under 12’s recorded a brilliant 9-0 win against Greenleas. Connor Jones was Man of the Match and scored four of the goals.  Also on the scoresheet were L. Heath (2), R. King (1), K Platt (1) and David Thomas (1). 


The Under 13’s were in Cheshire Cup action this week against Princess Villa winning 5-3 with goals from Jamie Woods (2), Luke Malone (2) and Lewis Unsworth (1).


The Under 14’s lost heavily away at Ryecroft to Peninsula Stars.  Will Hellon picked up the Man of the Match award.


The Under 15?s were also in Cheshire Cup action this week against AC Hoylake.  The boys played well, but went down 5-1 in the end.  Man of the Match Harry Waterman scored Upton’s only goal


Youth Teams


The Under 17’s were in Cheshire Cup action in Northwich and after coming back from 3-1 down to level at 3-3 they were beaten on penalties, goals from Callum Mernock, Morgan Woods & Joe Murray


The Under 18’s had no game





The Open Age had a 2-1 win against AM Plant Hire.
