Under 9s Rangers End of Season Report 2007/08
This was our first season as a team together and all things considered this has been a terrific year for the boys with a final placing mid-table. Not only have they all individually improved their football skills, they have also learnt how to play as a team together; something which was reflected in the good 4 game unbeaten run in the second half of the season. The boys have really pulled together and exceeded my expectations throughout the year.
Training at Weatherhead (the windy training pitch) we toughened up in the elements and worked heavily on ball control, 1 v 1 skills, heading, shooting, looking up, movement and star wars.
Highlights of the season include the goal net collapsing on our super goalkeeper Aiden Jones, Ben Gaskell scoring the best free kick in history, beating Liscard Panthers 3–2 and starting a chant at the Nottingham Forest match at Tranmere.
Well done lads you have all improved incredibly, here’s to next season.
