Ability Counts Team Tournament Sucess
Uptons Ability counts season got off to a great start as they took part in there first tournament of the season in Nov 2013
On Saturday morning we travelled to Bebington High School to take part in a competition against teams from Tranmere Rovers, and Heygarth United, the opposition for the day insured that Upton had a real challange on there hands.
As the morning got under way Upton not only proved they were up to the challange, but the combination of some brilliant defending, fantastic football, and lethall finishing meant Upton came out on top in the three games they played, running away 5-1, 4-0, and another 4-0 in the final game.
It was great to see the players enjoying there football so much, and a pleasure for coaches and parants to watch the team play such good football.
Well Done to all involved

The next Tournament in January saw another fantastic effort
Last Saturday the Upton Ability counts team travelled to Bebbington to take part in the ability counts league fixtures.
The day started with Upton taking on Liverpool F.C. a tremendous performance saw Upton run out 3-1 winners.
In our second fixture we faced Tranmere rovers, with both teams doing all they could to win in a brilliant game.
We entered the last minute of the match with the score at 2-2 when Tranmere scored a wonder goal with a brilliant
volley from the edge of the box, it was certainly worthy of winning any game.
Our last fixture saw us take on Liverpool again, I was concerned that the defeat against Tranmere may affect the teams
confidence, but the Upton teams response was absolutely fantastic as they won the game comfortably 6-0.
Once again a great day was had by all the teams involved.
We now look forward to the March fixtures were hopefully Upton can continue to play the great football they have played all season
Ability Counts Trip to Everton FC
The boys and girls of the Upton ability counts team were recently treated to a great day out as they had a stadium tour of Goodison park home of Everton F.C.
As part of the day the players had the opportunity to go pitch side and sit on the Everton bench. They spent time in the director’s box, and also visited the boardroom, and dressing rooms were the boys and girls had their pictures taken next to their favorite player’s shirt.

A great day was had by all as you can see from these photos and thanks must go to all the staff at Everton who made the day possible.

Abiiity Counts Season Begins with Victory
Saturday saw the start of the ability counts season for our ability counts team and so off the teams set for the first of our monthly fixtures at moss farm.
The introduction of a couple of new players and our established players from last season, had the coaching staff looking forward to what would be a fantastic day for all involved.
The day could not have gone better with the sun shining brightly and parents, players and the coaches all looking forward to the game against Tranmere Rovers.
Both teams played there part in a great game and despite the heat they both battled hard to try and win there first game of the season, it was great to see both teams play so well.
The improvement in the Upton team was there for all to see with some great passing and movement throughout the game and it was great to see Upton rewarded for their good football with goals from Amelia 4, a hat-trick from Jay and 2 goals each from Jordan and Josh saw us run out 11-3 winners. Once again a great day was had by all, and everyone can’t wait for November’s fixtures.

Ability Counts Tournament
Last week saw Uptons ability counts team visit Northwich for only the second time to take part in the ability counts festival, and what a great day it turned out to be for the team.
The team gave a great account of themselves with the highlight of the day being a three nil victory over Tranmere Rovers in the first game we then went on to draw one game and narrowly lose our last game, but the improvement in the team was there for all to see.
And once again the players, parents and coaching staff had a great day.
The players were presented with medals by the club for there great achievement.
Well done to all the team.
