The Under 9’s – Beat Manor 4-2 as the lads once again produced a battling performance to overcome Manor Victoria. They were very quick off the mark, and grabbed an early goal from a free kick, after some impressive passing play. This settled them down and they started to dominate the first half. However, Manor were happy to hit on the break, and in fact produced an equaliser from a free kick after one such break. The game then flowed back and forth with chances at both ends, but both defences were holding fast. Our lads were pushing hard before half time to take the lead again, but unfortunately it was Manor who went ahead. With our lads pushing forward, a long ball over the top caught us out and we went in at half time trailing 2 -1. In the second half the lads started very strong again, and were level after only a few minutes. Unfortunately lots of decisions seemed to be going against us, but the lads kept playing good football, and producing a very strong performance. It was not long before we re-took the lead with some good passing football using both wings. By this time we were dominating the game, with Manor penned back. Luckily the fourth and decisive goal went in with only a few minutes to play, and the lads had gained another precious couple of points. Goals came from Dylan Davies 2, Tom Carrington & Alex Clarke with Chris Hynes Man of Match
The Under 10’s – beat Glenavon Hawks 4-1 as their improved form continues with goals from Reece Pirie 3 & Jack Torpey with Owen Burns Man of Match
