The game was closely matched until an emphatic finish from Jodie Williams, and a goal from Isabel Nolan saw Upton finish 4 -1 winners. Rebecca Pritchard-Howarth was deservedly player of the match.
Under 16s played Waverton for the third time this season, the visitors having kindly agreed to reverse the fixture so that coach and parents could recover from our Xmas party the night before. A good game of football, with both sides playing well, was enjoyed by the home and away supporters, but Upton ended up winning 5 – 1 with goals from Louise O’Brien (2); Abbie Bateman; Lauren McGarrity; and Lucy McKeown, who was also player of the match.
