Mini Soccer
The Under 7’s were beaten 6-0 by Victoria Colts
The Under 8’s had a good 2-1 win over Wallasey Wanderers with Lee Keogh & Luke Hyland scoring.
The Under 9’s had a great game ending up with a 4-3 victory over the Rakers. After leading early through Matt Sutton we found ourselves 2-1 down at half time however a Matt Sutton second after a great run by James Cotgrave pulled us level and then a great strike from James Cotgrave gave us the lead soon after. Matt completed his hatrick with a fantastic free kick to put us 4-2 up before a late consolation goal.
The Under 10’s had an unbelievable game that didn’t reflect the score line with a 3-1 defeat to shafts. Somehow we fell 3-0 down at half time and we had three chances cleared off the line. Second half we had all of the ball and pulled one back through Matt Cubbin. Kieran Clegg kept us in the game with a fantastic save and then William parry hit the post. A great effort by everyone. Matt Cubbin received man of the match.
Girls
Under 12 Rangers lost out narrowly 2-0 to Oxton Ladies
Under 12s lost 6-1 to Manor
Under 14s won 2-0 against New Brighton Saints to stay top in a tight league
Under 16s also won 6-1 against Greenleas to remain well clear at the top of the table
Boys
The Under 11’s had no game
The Under 12’s had no game
The Under 13’s were beaten 5-1 by Peninsula Stars in the Cheshire Cup with Waiz Stephens scoring
The Under 14’s had no game
The Under 15?s had a superb 1-1 draw with high flying Wirral Scorpions despite only having 10 players a superb effort from the team, Mike Cooper scored and Tom Wilson was named Man of the Match
Youth Teams
The Under 17’s put up a great performance losing 4-1 to an Open Age adult side in the Cup taking the lead through Scott Billington before losing out.
The Under 18’s made it 2 in 2 beating Neston Nomads 3-2 with a Jack Maher double helping grab the points
Adult
The Open Age saw their recent run of victories come to an end with a 1-0 defeat to Poulton Vics in the cup.
